01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Crisp-skinned chicken and refreshingly tangy carrot rapée make a distinctive sandwich filling at pelican coffee. Sandwich plates are available to choose from the display case; the sautéed chicken and carrot rapée sandwich costs 900 yen. For a fuller meal, you can opt for a plate served with salad.
For hand-drip coffee, you can choose the beans. The Pelican Original Blend costs 650 yen, and the menu describes juicy, floral and chocolate-like notes. Choosing a coffee to suit your taste makes a nice accompaniment to the chicken sandwich.
Breakfast includes French toast cooked on a hot plate for 450 yen. A plate served with salad and carrot rapée costs 650 yen, with maple syrup available as an extra. For something more substantial, there is also croque madame: campagne bread with béchamel sauce, ham, cheese and a fried egg. In Denenchofu, you can start the day with a light sandwich and coffee or choose a breakfast centred on French toast. The menu offers options to suit your appetite and mood.
